Prince Hotel in Butuan City

There are many inexpensive accommodations in Butuan City. En route from Surigao del Sur to Manila, we stayed for a night in VCDU Prince Hotel along South Montilla Boulevard. Perfect location as its along the route of Bachelor Bus, and just walking distance from McDonalds along Jose Aquino Avenue.

We were given a room on the fifth floor. The view is not so nice, but at least we get to see the downtown from our room, being one of the highest buildings in the city.

They could improve on service part, as the bellman did not even offered to assist us in our luggage after we checked in. The single lift is quite small and slow, as mentioned on previous guests' reviews.

Our standard double room is clean and spacious. However, the water in bathroom looks yellowish.

Furniture and appliances are standard, yet good enough for our Php 998 room rate. Wifi signal is weak from our room though.

They have a small coffee shop on the back of the front desk, where service is just average.

Breakfast set menus range between Php 100-120 per set, as it is not included on our room rate. I think food quality is at par with those served by fastfood restaurants.

Its still a good value hotel for its location and view of the city.
