In Mangagoy, Bislig City, it seems that there are very few choices when it comes to accommodation. Based on the limited blog reviews and Trip Advisor, I chose to book in Casa de Babano through their Facebook account, as they don't have a website. They reply both on SMS (0926-7597277) and FB messages.
Their reception desk is simple, where guestroom monitoring is still done traditional style. The staff are helpful and friendly, in answering my various queries. A tourist map is posted on the lobby area for guests' reference.
The rooms are clean though some bathroom fixtures are getting rusty, due to their proximity in the sea. I just don't like their waxy tiled floor which seem sticky. Our Room #101 only has 2 electrical outlets, for charging our various gadgets.
Their room rates indicated below, which includes set breakfast for two persons. I find the portion of their viand on free breakfast as too small for my appetite.
If staying here, just try to avoid the rooms near their bar which has videoke for their patrons. Their coffee shop serves good food at reasonable prices. You can also buy raw food from the market, and ask them to cook it for you at P 100/kg.
Mercury Drugstore and other nice restaurants are just a block away. Walking to the public market would take less than 10 minutes, while the van/bus terminal is about 15 minutes by foot.
