The Old Spaghetti House's Combo Meal

Last Sunday, Wife got a hankering for pasta at Old Spaghetti House. So after our aborted visit to patient confined at Asian Hospital, we proceeded to The Old Spaghetti House in Festival Mall, Alabang.

For an afternoon snack, four of us tried their Celebration Trio priced at Php 800. It consisted of appetizer platter (calamares, fish, and chips), a spaghetti dish (we chose w/ pesto sauce), a pizza (we chose the supreme flavor), and a dessert item. The items were served on a 3-layer metal stand, but I was not able to take a photo.

The appetizer is good enough, portion size is quite generous, perfect for a small group. The pasta dish is average, its pesto sauce is not as flavorful, unlike their version we've had at their Robinsons Galleria branch.

Their pizza above has very thin crust, which reminds me of roti chanai or naan bread. Instead of round or square shape, it has oblong shape, and cut in parallel strips. But its texture and taste of topping mixture is outstanding. Our chosen dessert of tiramisu slice is also a winner, with the right proportion of cream cheese and sweetness, and a nice presentation with the restaurant's initials on the sprinkled coffee powder.

The combo meal is bundled with a photoshoot of our group, where our picture placed on a small frame will be available for pick up a week after.

Overall, its a good dining experience in a good ambiance setting, attentive and courteous wait staff, with competitive price. We'll surely come back to this place, when we crave for Italian food again.
